The Mexicans who won the Latin Grammy in Spain

The Mexicans who won the Latin Grammy in Spain showed that they dominate the stages of Latin America and even the world.

On November 16, the 2023 edition of the Latin Grammy Awards took place in Seville, Spain, awarding the most important honors in Latin American music.

Among the notable figures were Peso Pluma, Shakira, and Bizarrap, who made appearances and thrilled fans with fabulous performances.

The Mexican nominees who did not manage to win the coveted gramophone were Kenia Os, Peso Pluma, and León Larregui.

But here is the list of Mexicans who won the Latin Grammy in Spain in various categories for which they were nominated:

Edgar Barrera, a Mexican composer and producer who has worked with various artists and music groups in Spanish, was nominated for 13 Latin Grammy Awards.

Out of that number, he took home three well-deserved awards: “Best Regional Mexican Song,” “Best Producer,” and “Best Composer,” honoring his talents.

Without a doubt, Natalia Lafourcade was the big winner of the night, as thanks to her most recent production, “De todas las flores,” she went home with three gramophones under her arm for “Best Singer-Songwriter Album,” “Best Singer-Songwriter Song,” and the most important award of the night: “Record of the Year.

Christian Nodal was another of the Mexicans who won the Latin Grammy in Spain for “Best Ranchera or Mariachi Album,” thanks to his album “Forajido EP2.”

Carin León, on the other hand, received the Grammy for “Best Norteño Album” for his album “Colmillo de leche.”

The Mexican band Molotov also received an award, as they were honored in the “Best Rock Album” category for their recent record “Solo D’Lira.”

In the “Best Pop Vocal Album” category, the Latin Grammy went to Julieta Venegas for her album “Tu historia.”

Edgar Barrera, a Mexican composer and producer, was also one of the Mexicans who won the Latin Grammy in Spain with three well-deserved awards: “Best Regional Mexican Song,” “Best Producer,” and “Best Composer.”

Julión Álvarez, famous for classics in banda music, won the award for “Best Banda Music Album” for the work “De hoy en adelante, que te vaya bien.”

Finally, in the “Best Regional Mexican Song” category, Grupo Frontera, of Mexican origin, won the award for the song “Un x100to” in collaboration with the current sensation Bad Bunny.

Although he did not win any awards in the nominated categories, Hassan Kabande Laija, better known as Peso Pluma, had one of the most applauded performances of the night as he sang his classic “Ella baila sola” alongside Eslabón Armando, a musical piece that catapulted him to international fame.
