Mexico’s President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Donald Trump

Mexico’s President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Donald Trump and rejected that cartels are in control of Mexico and that the government is “petrified” of them.

These statements come after Donald Trump accused the Mexican government of making little effort.

For her part, Claudia Sheinbaum assured that Mexico has made progress in reducing insecurity.

During the presentation of the results of the National Urban Public Safety Survey (ENSU), conducted every three months in Mexico, Sheinbaum ruled out that the recent statements of the former president and Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States are true.

“Mexico has advanced in decreasing insecurity and we are going to advance even more,” he said.

Sheinbaum stressed that “where we can work together we work” but that Mexico’s sovereignty will always be defended.

Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Donald Trump with arguments in numbers that reveal the progress against criminal organizations in Mexico.

Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Donald Trump: Foul Language

During part of the interview with the Fox News network replayed on Tuesday, Trump assured that, if he wins the presidency, he will have a tough hand against the cartels.

“Are the strikes against the cartels still on?” host Jesse Watters asked Trump, who responded, ”Absolutely, Mexico will have to fall in line pretty quickly.”

Trump gave the interview along with running mate J. D. Vance, whose mother managed to overcome drug addiction.

Vance believes that many of the people addicted to drugs in the United States today do not have the same opportunity his mother had.

“Thousands of people are losing their lives because we are not taking serious action against the cartels,” Vance said, warning that Mexico will become a narco-state if the situation is not brought under control.

Trump also reaffirmed that if he wins reelection he will implement a massive deportation plan.

In addition to Sheinbaum, the future head of the Ministry of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, whom Trump (2017-2021) referred to without mentioning him, also reacted to feeling attacked by the former U.S. president.

“I regret the foul language of former President Trump and I certainly disagree with his opinion about Marcelo Ebrard. For me he is one of Mexico’s best public servants and will be a great Secretary of Economy of our country, which no one should forget, is free and sovereign,” Sheinbaum said in a message on social networks.
