Ecuador’s First Lady: Influencer, Young, and Beautiful

Following the election results, Ecuador’s first lady will be a young, mother, and influencer, a necessary combination in her role as a leader.

Lavinia Valbonesi is 25 years old and is highly popular on social media. Some estimate that she has attracted a significant following among 16 to 18-year-olds who are eligible to vote in Ecuador.

The upcoming first lady of Ecuador is dedicated to the world of fitness, fashion, modeling, nutrition consulting, and providing motherhood advice.

Experts claim she played a significant role during Daniel Noboa’s electoral campaign.

Businessman Daniel Noboa won the presidential runoff in Ecuador on Sunday, October 15, 2023, and when he takes office, he will be the country’s youngest president in history at 35 years old.

His wife, Lavinia Valbonesi, who is very popular on social media, will be Ecuador’s first lady.

During the electoral campaign, several of her posts related to her husband trended on TikTok multiple times, where she has over 200,000 followers.

Ecuavisa, the TV channel, noted that she started her entrepreneurial journey with a business called Green Deli, a health-focused food establishment.

Born to an Italian father, Lavinia Valbonesi was born on April 8, 1998, in the town of Chone, in western Ecuador. An only child, she grew up in the Galapagos Islands.

Ecuador’s First Lady

After graduating from high school at the age of 16, she moved to live in Guayaquil.

In an interview with the Ecuadorian newspaper El Universo, she mentioned that she met Daniel Noboa when she was 21 years old.

She recalled that the young businessman sought her out for nutritional advice as he wanted to lose weight. Over time, he succeeded in winning her heart. They were married on August 28, 2021.

Currently, Lavinia Valbonesi, Ecuador’s first lady, is expecting her second child. In the same interview, she mentioned that they are anticipating the birth around late February of the next year. The child will be named Furio Noboa Valbonesi, and their first child from the marriage is named Álvaro.

On the other hand, Daniel Noboa has a daughter named Luisa from his first marriage to Gabriela Goldbaum.

Noboa has faced complications in his divorce process and is in a legal dispute with the Spanish insurance company Mapfre, as Gabriela Goldbaum allegedly gained access to his financial information through an employee of this company, according to the EFE news agency.

Ecuador’s first lady speaks three languages fluently: Italian, English, and Spanish, and has knowledge of Mandarin and French.

Regarding her husband, she described him as a calm and peaceful person but resolute when necessary.

As for what Ecuadorians can expect from Daniel Noboa’s future presidency, she expressed that with him as president, “there will be a new Ecuador.”

According to a CNN profile, Lavinia Valbonesi is certified as a personal trainer by MI40 Gym, a fitness center located in Tampa, Florida.

In her interview with El Universo, she mentioned that her parents were divorced, and she values what her mother did for her as a single mother. She added that as the first lady, she aims to assist single mothers in Ecuador.
