A man was arrested for recording animal porn video in Australia, and is now charged with offenses in the matter, including zoophilia and pornography.

Australian police reported Wednesday that they charged a 38-year-old man with videotaping animal porn in Australia.

The videos with zoophilia content and other crimes, is part of hundreds of recordings with sexual abuse of animals in what may be the largest scandal of its kind in the Oceanic country.

The man, whose name has not been disclosed, was arrested the day before near the rural town of Taree (317 kilometers north of Sydney), in an operation in which an allegedly raped dog was rescued and abundant computer material was confiscated, according to a statement from the New South Wales State Police.

The accused – known on social media and encrypted messaging apps under the pseudonym Beasty Boy (‘Beasty Boy’) – had allegedly shared footage showing sexual abuse of various animals including dead cats, sheep, goats, chickens and kangaroos, the statement added.

The news has gone around the world, a guy who, it seems, had already spent time recording animal porn video in Australia.

“Their presence on the Internet indicates that there is much more to this than we have seen so far. At this point we have seen more than 500 videos,” said Commissioner Jayne Doherty, head of the New South Wales Police Sexual Offences Squad, in a statement reported by the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper.

Before the prosecutor, Marty Aust read the charges against him, Northern High Court Chief Justice Michael Grant urged the public, security personnel and the media to leave the courtroom.

“These facts contain material that can only be described as grotesque and perverse acts of cruelty, which are confronting and distressing and which, in my view, have the potential to cause nervous shock,” the prosecutor asserted, diluting the seriousness of the case.
