In this regard, López Obrador expressed his indignation at the leak of the telephone number of his eldest son, José Ramón López Beltrán, calling it a “very shameful” act.

This is a response to President AMLO’s decision to leak the phone number of the New York Times journalist.

He pointed out that he was elected by the people of Mexico, in legal and legitimate elections, and warned that the President of Mexico cannot be slandered.

“It should never be allowed. If others allowed it, it was because they had no moral authority or political authority. I am not going to accept anyone’s slander nor do I accept the maxim of Goebbels, Hitler’s propaganda chief, who said that a lie that is repeated many times can become true.

AMLO expressed that he does not accept any slander without evidence and slander from foreign governments or their agencies, and “I also do not accept that newspapers, no matter how famous, slander, have to prove it.”

“Let’s call it the New York Times, let’s call it Univision, they entered the debate unofficially. How can Univision not enter, which is full of journalists at the service of the mafia of power in Mexico. Of course, they pay the journalists very well,” said the leader.

Within the messages, the majority show hatred, classism and racism. I will share some of the messages. I do it to show that hatred comes from conservatives, that they fuel racism and classism.”
