The ambient temperature during the qualifying session was 25 degrees, but the track temperature rose to 46 degrees.

Checo Pérez had a strong start, maintaining a top position and setting a good time to comfortably advance to the Q2.

All drivers used soft tires, except for Mercedes, McLaren, and Ferrari, which opted for mediums.

There were several complications due to the regulations at the Hermanos Rodríguez Circuit. Verstappen faced an investigation after the qualifying session as he seemed to pause at the end of the pit lane.

Additionally, Lewis Hamilton, Logan Sargeant, and Yuki Tsunoda are also under investigation for not reducing speed under yellow flags.

Max Verstappen once again set the fastest time, with Checo Pérez achieving the sixth-best time.

In a surprising turn of events, Daniel Ricciardo secured the third-best time with several high-quality laps.

At the end of Q1, those eliminated were Esteban Ocon, Kevin Magnussen, Lance Stroll, Lando Norris, and Sargeant.

Despite an error, Fernando Alonso managed to advance in the tenth position, with his car spinning and causing a delay in the session.

For Q2 of the Mexican Grand Prix qualifying, Oscar Piastri continued to demonstrate his talent despite being a rookie, setting excellent times.

Once again, Verstappen set the benchmark in Q2, placing ahead of Piastri, Ricciardo, Pérez, and Bottas.

However, Lewis Hamilton delivered a final blow to claim the best time in the Q2 of the Mexican Grand Prix qualifying.

In this session, Alonso, Guanyu Zhou, Pierre Gasly, Nico Hülkenberg, and Tsunoda, who will also start from the pit lane due to a power unit change, were eliminated.

A few minutes later, Alex Albon was disqualified due to an infringement, allowing Zhou to enter. Albon went off track limits at turn 12 and dropped to 14th place.
