Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity announces meeting on November 3rd

The Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity will have a new meeting on November 3rd at the White House.

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, announced that on November 3rd, the leaders comprising the Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity will gather at the White House.

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, will host the leaders of South American countries at the White House for a summit on November 3rd of the Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity.

According to a statement by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday, during this inaugural summit of the Leaders of the Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity, Biden will reaffirm his commitment to cooperation in economic growth and the fight against irregular migration.

During the Summit of the Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity, the U.S. Head of State will also discuss commitments to strengthen and expand his country’s efforts “to promote regional economic growth through the creation of new tools to mobilize responsible investment.”

In June 2022, President Biden announced the Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity, focused on promoting economic recovery through trade agreements and boosting economic growth and cooperation in the region.

Six months later, the President announced that 11 countries in the Western Hemisphere initially joined the Alliance: Barbados, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Uruguay.

The Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity is a flexible framework open to all countries that share our values and our vision of a prosperous hemisphere. It seeks to prepare for future negotiations on commitments and other areas of cooperation.

In addition, while maintaining close consultations with labor sectors, environmental organizations, civil society, industries, and businesses, and with Congress, we are advancing towards realizing the President’s vision.

The Association of the Americas for Economic Prosperity has a duty to promote regional competitiveness, resilience, common prosperity, and inclusive and sustainable investments while also addressing the climate crisis, striving to reach high-level agreements.
