During the early hours of this May 23, the governor had said that of those hospitalized at least three people were undergoing emergency surgeries and their health condition was delicate.

After the stage accident at a political event in Mexico, candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez confirmed that he was fine and in communication with state authorities to follow up on what happened.

“The only important thing right now is to attend to the victims,” he wrote on his X account.

On the other hand, he added that the injured members of his team were being treated at a hospital and that he would head back to the scene to accompany the victims.

Finally, the presidential candidate announced the cancellation of his visit to Tlaxcala and Hidalgo scheduled for May 23 and said he would continue in Nuevo León.
