Additionally, Argentina is among the top 10 global producers of grapes, barley, artichokes, tobacco, and cotton.
It is also one of the top 15 producers in the world for wheat, sugarcane, sorghum, and grapefruit.

Argentina is the third-largest soybean producer in the world, with 37.7 million tons produced, trailing only the United States and Brazil.
It is the fourth-largest corn producer globally, with 43.5 million tons, and ranks twelfth in wheat production worldwide.
Argentina also produces approximately 2 million tons of sugar from sugarcane.
As a major producer of sunflower seeds, Argentina was the world’s third-largest producer in 2010, with 2.2 million tons.
Argentina ranks among the top 10 global producers and exporters of food.
“The national agro-industry is the driving force behind our country’s development, accounting for 61% of Argentina’s exports,” stated a report in 2019.
To sustain this industry, the country relies on laborers and workers in the sector.
The granary of Latin America boasts 276,581 producers and 15,000 food and beverage companies, of which 98% are small and medium-sized enterprises, representing 18% of the GDP.
Ranking Royals
The international platform known as Ranking Royals compiled a list of the largest wheat-producing countries and, after analyzing the results, announced that Argentina is the largest producer in Latin America.
The country produces 17,644,277 tons, surpassing all Spanish-speaking nations worldwide and ranking in the top 12 globally.
For perspective, the second-largest wheat-producing country in the region is Brazil, ranking 19th in the world with a production of 7,874,525 tons.
Surprisingly, Mexico completes the top three in Latin America, producing 3,283,614 tons and ranking 32nd globally in this category.
