Argentina remains strong in the FIFA ranking: Here are the rankings of the American national teams.

Argentina continues to hold its position in the FIFA ranking following the latest update from the world’s governing body for soccer.

Meanwhile, the Mexican National Team drew its last two matches in the September FIFA international break, facing Australia and Uzbekistan.

This performance allowed them to maintain their 12th position in the FIFA monthly ranking.

Argentina solidified its position in the FIFA ranking with two victories: one against Ecuador, featuring a stunning goal by Lionel Messi, and a dominant win against Bolivia in La Paz.

The Argentine national team increased its lead as the world’s top-ranked team with a total of 1851.41 points compared to France’s 1840.76.

Argentina gained 7.68 points in this update, while France lost 2.78 points. Brazil remains in third place on the podium with no changes in their position.

For Mexico, these were the first two official matches under the management of Jaime Lozano, following their victory in the Gold Cup with players recommended by coach Diego Cocca.

Other American teams in the FIFA ranking had mixed results. Chile had a tough start with a loss to Uruguay in Montevideo and a draw against Colombia in Santiago.

Eduardo Berizzo’s Chile dropped four positions in the September update, moving from 32nd to 36th place with 1504.75 points.

Brazil, on the other hand, increased their points from 1828.27 to 1837.61, experiencing the largest growth in the top five, which also includes England and Belgium.

Portugal secured the eighth position, ahead of Italy, while Croatia and the Netherlands remained sixth and seventh, respectively. Spain also saw a slight increase from 1703.45 to 1710.72, placing them in the tenth position.

Uruguay dropped below Colombia, swapping positions in 16th and 17th place. Peru is now ranked 22nd, and Ecuador climbed to the 38th position.

Venezuela, following their victory against Paraguay, reached the 53rd spot, while Paraguay is just one place ahead at 52nd. Bolivia is the lowest-ranked South American team, sitting in 83rd place.

The United States is the highest-ranked team in the CONCACAF region, securing the 11th position, with Panama and Costa Rica at 45th and 46th, respectively.
