Don Omar’s New Song: Forever King
This new release from Don Omar follows the success of ‘Forever King,’ his first album after four years without releasing a studio album.
He announced it on Instagram: ‘You can now pre-save my new song in collaboration with @wisin and @yandel, ‘SANDUNGA,’ produced by @lunytunes for @sugarcream.music, and my new EP ALBUM ‘Back to Reggaeton.’ Where are you waiting for this collectible piece? Raise your flag!’
In this song, ‘El Rey’ (The King) collaborates again with ‘the duo of history,‘ Wisin and Yandel, after more than two decades.
Wisin and Yandel immediately agreed to participate after hearing the song. ‘Sandunga’ was produced by the iconic producer duo, Luny Tunes, and released under Don Omar’s Sugar Cream label.
Producer Francisco Saldaña (Luny) had nothing but praise for the composition. ‘Don Omar heard the song. He went crazy. Wisin heard it.
He got on the song. He played it for Yandel, who said, ‘I want to be in the song.‘ It has reggaeton with heavy bass, electronic sounds, a touch of Arabic melodies, a combination of everything.’
Don Omar reiterated that this collaboration was a long-time dream come true. ‘Collaborating on this song with Wisin & Yandel and Luny Tunes has been a long-held desire of mine,’ said Don Omar.
Not only have we revisited the roots of our music, but the results speak for themselves. Given our history together, the creative synergy flows smoothly. Get ready for ‘Sandunga,’ it’s the best reggaeton song in recent times.”
