Shakira, Karol G, Peso Pluma, and Anitta lead the Latin nominees for the MTV Europe Music Awards, showcasing the quality and popularity of these stars from the continent.
The MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), set to take place on November 5th, will undoubtedly have a Latin touch.
These talented artists have each received two nominations, making them the most prominent Latin artists in this prestigious awards show, while American singer Taylor Swift leads with seven nominations.
Shakira, Karol G, Peso Pluma, and Anitta led the Latin nominees for the MTV Europe Music Awards. In the Latin category, the competition includes Spain’s Rosalía, Brazil’s Anitta, and Puerto Rico’s Bad Bunny.
Additionally, both Shakira and Karol G are contenders for the Best Collaboration award for their song “TQG.”
Meanwhile, Peso Pluma, hailing from Mexico, is nominated for Best New Artist, and Anitta stands out in the nominations for Best Fans.

Other artists from the Latin music scene will also be present among the MTV Europe Music Awards nominees. Many Latin American artists have been recognized in various regional categories.
In the Best Caribbean Artist category, contenders include Rauw Alejandro, Myke Towers, Eladio Carrión, Mora, and Young Miko.
In the Central American category, we find Sebastián Yatra, Manuel Turizo, Blessd, Feid, and Manuel Turizo.
In the North American category, artists like Danna Paola, Kenia Os, Kevin Kaarl, Siddhartha, Natanael Cano, and Ryan Castro are nominated.
South America features Bizarrap, Duki, Fito Paez, Lali, Nicki Nicole, and in Brazil, artists like Anavitoria, Kevin O Chris, Luisa Sonza, Manu Gavassi, and Matue.
Other internationally recognized artists in regional categories include Kylie Minogue (Australia), Shania Twain, and Drake (Canada), as well as Calvin Harris and Sam Smith (United Kingdom and Ireland).
In the Best Spanish Artist category, competitors include Abraham Mateo, Álvaro de Luna, Lola Indigo, Quevedo, and Samantha Hudson.
On the other hand, prominent American artist Taylor Swift will go head-to-head with fellow countrywomen Olivia Rodrigo and SZA in major categories such as Best Artist, Best Song, and Best Video.
Italian band Maneskin could potentially win up to four awards in categories such as Best Live Performance, Rock Artist, Group, and Italian Artist.
Meanwhile, American artists Miley Cyrus, Doja Cat, and Nicki Minaj also boast four nominations each.
