Checo Pérez’s Formula 1 license for the 2024 season will come with a high cost, considering the points he accumulates.

In this regard, competing in Formula 1 can become a significant expense for drivers, who have to pay the FIA for each point earned throughout the season.

Checo Pérez’s Formula 1 license will require the Mexican driver to disburse over 10 million pesos for the 2024 season.

It is essential to note that the native of Guadalajara has accumulated 258 points in the championship, and the amount of money Checo Pérez will have to pay for the 2024 campaign could increase.

This is because there are still 52 points at stake with the pending races in Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi.

Bianca Garloff, a journalist from Auto Bild Magazin, revealed that each driver has to meet a base fee of 10,400 euros, and this amount increases for every point they earn throughout the year.
