The NBA returned to Mexico on Thursday, November 9, bringing with it several anecdotes and the presence of stars from both the sports and entertainment worlds.
The event featured a matchup between the Orlando Magic and the Atlanta Hawks, with the latter securing a victory with a score of 120 to 119, providing a complete spectacle for all the attending fans.
The game was attended by various celebrities, but what stood out the most for Mexican fans was the reunion of three former NBA players who captured the audience’s attention due to their significant careers in the world’s premier basketball league and their importance for the country.
Beyond the sporting spectacle, the NBA returned to Mexico and brought together three legends of Mexican basketball: Horacio Llamas, Gustavo Ayón, and Eduardo Nájera.
These three figures of Mexican basketball posed together in a photo that went viral on social media, earning praise from fans in Mexico.
During their active careers, these players were part of the American basketball league and proudly represented the Mexican flag.

As the NBA returned to Mexico at the Arena CDMX, the event had the presence of Peso Pluma, who sat in the front row next to the Orlando Magic bench, interacting with none other than Scottie Pippen.
However, Peso Pluma couldn’t escape being booed by the audience when the camera focused on him. Pippen was the one who informed him, and that’s how he found out about the boos.
Speaking of Scottie Pippen, the former player made a special appearance in Mexico to watch the game between the Magic and the Hawks.
During the NBA Mexico Game, Pippen received the loudest ovation in a parade of legends during the second quarter. As one of the special guests, the Arena Ciudad de México erupted in cheers when Pippen was introduced.
At the NBA Mexico City Game, there was a massive sale of products from various NBA teams, with items from the Lakers, Warriors, and Bulls being the most requested.
The caps ranged from 500 pesos to 650 pesos, including a special edition Magic cap designed for the Mexico game. Additionally, classic jackets were available, including one from the Hawks that caught the attention, priced at three thousand 509 pesos.
Moreover, cotton shirts were priced at 500 pesos, while the original ones were available for two thousand 300 pesos.
