Washington warned Moscow about the bombing ¿REALLY?

Even though Washington warned Moscow, the Russian government insists that the United States and Ukraine are responsible for the bombings in the Russian capital.

Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev today insisted on blaming Ukraine and the United States for being behind the March 22 attack on a concert hall.

This statement continues to persist despite U.S. press reports that Washington warned Moscow that such a venue outside Moscow was one of the potential targets of terrorists.

“We pay attention to the fact that on March 7 the U.S. and British embassies issued warnings to their citizens about the danger of an attack in Moscow in the next 48 hours,” Patrushev said during the 19th meeting with his counterparts from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Despite the fact that Washington warned Moscow, Russia reported that “just that day, as witnesses claim, the perpetrators of the attack visited Crocus City Hall to assess the situation on the ground.

But why Russia insists, despite the fact that Washington warned Moscow.

Washington warned Moscow about the bombing, but Russia does not believe it.

On this, Patrushev, who from the beginning defended the existence of a “Ukrainian footprint” behind the attack that claimed the lives of 144 people, did not allude to the ‘Washington Post’ information, citing official sources, that the United States warned Russia that the Crocus City Hall was one of the possible targets of a jihadist attack.

Indeed, the Russian official denounced Western attempts to impose the narrative that the terrorist act was not committed by Kiev, but by Islamic State sympathizers.

“However, it is much more important to establish as soon as possible who it is that commissioned and financed that horrible crime. His traces lead to the Ukrainian secret services. But it is well known that the regime in Kiev is not self-sufficient and is totally controlled by the US,” he said.

Of course, despite the fact that Washington warned Moscow, the Russians remind that “the Islamic State, Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations were created by Washington.”

“The criminals who committed that massacre and their accomplices have been arrested on their way to the border, where the Ukrainian side was preparing a window for the crossing,” he stressed.

Patrushev also accused the Ukrainian Embassy in Tajikistan of recruiting mercenaries interested in joining the International Legion, created to fight against Russia.

In total, 15 people have been detained so far in connection with the attack, four of them for their direct involvement in the shooting and explosions that took place at the concert hall.

Although the Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack, Putin and senior Russian officials link that terrorist act to Ukrainian border attacks in recent months, although they have not presented evidence to support that hypothesis.

The independent press has criticized the Kremlin for focusing all its efforts on cracking down on internal dissent and opponents of the war in Ukraine, and forgetting about the real criminals and threats to state security.

Washington warned Moscow several days earlier, as the March 7 U.S. warning to its own citizens was unusually specific.

It spoke of rumors that “extremists” had “imminent plans to attack large congregations in Moscow” and specifically mentioned concerts.

It therefore advised Americans in the city to avoid large gatherings of people for the next 48 hours.
