U.S. Vice Presidential Candidate Called for Mass Deportations

The U.S. vice presidential candidate called for mass deportations in contrast to Democrats’ policies in recent years.

Sen. J.D. Vance, the Democrats’ vice presidential candidate, said the mass deportations of undocumented immigrants promised for a possible second Trump administration should start at one million people and then move up from there.

The U.S. vice presidential candidate called for mass deportations amid a surge of migrants arriving daily in the country.

“I think it’s interesting that people are focusing on: ‘Well, how do you deport 18 million people? Let’s start with one million. That’s where Kamala Harris has failed, and then we can go from there,” Vance told ABC’s This Week.

It’s worth remembering that Donald Trump plans mass arrests and deportations of undocumented immigrants if he regains power

“The first thing to do is stop the bleeding,” Vance said.

Vance adds, “Stop the open border. Get Kamala Harris out of there and actually reimplement the ‘Stay in Mexico’ policy, rebuild or finish Donald Trump’s border wall.”.

“Take a sequential approach to this. You’re going to have to deport some people. If you’re not willing to deport a lot of people, you’re not willing to have a border,” he said.

Trump has told TIME that his target would be between 15 and 20 million undocumented people in the United States.

As the U.S. vice presidential candidate estimates he called for mass deportations are expected as soon as Trump comes to power.

I think it’s the wrong attitude about it,” Vance said regarding Joe Biden’s administration.

“There are 20 million people here illegally. You have to start with what’s doable. You do that, and then you move on to what’s achievable from there.”

“If you deport a lot of violent criminals and, frankly, make it harder to hire illegal labor, which drives down the wages of American workers, I think you largely solve the problem of illegal immigration,” Vance said.
