Luis Fonsi Broke His Promise
Luis Fonsi broke his promise and, after 12 years, returned to Venezuela for a performance that included two cities.
The 45-year-old Grammy Latino winner delivered a night to remember to his devoted fans as he kicked off the “El Viaje Tour” in Venezuela.
Luis Fonsi broke his promise not to return to Venezuela. At one point, he had stated that he wouldn’t come back to the country until the current government fell.
The clock read 9:36 pm when Fonsi took the stage at the Tamanaco Commercial City Center (CCCT) and broke the silence by singing “Imposible” (which he recorded with Ozuna), “Date la Vuelta” (featuring Nicky Jam and Sebastián Yatra), and “Nada es para siempre,” accompanied by a five-member band and a backing vocalist.
“For 12 years, I’ve been wanting to say, ‘Good evening, Venezuela!’. I missed you. Thank you for wanting to be here,” said the performer, who was impeccably dressed in black from head to toe while holding a guitar in his arms.
The stage for the spectacle of the Billboard Latin Music Award winner featured three impressive LED screens, with his hits complemented by fireworks, special effects, and a colorful play of lights.
Before the presentation by the Puerto Rican artist, the audience was entertained by Jagi, Johnny Jiménez, and Daddy Raidan, along with Fénix Bar.
Here were the ticket prices for both locations, the Tamanaco Commercial City Center (CCCT) and Hesperia WTC Valencia:
- GENERAL: $80
- VIP SEATS: $165
- GOLD BOX: $440
- PLATINUM BOX: $490
- DIAMOND: $550
- VIP BOX: $770
It’s worth noting that Luis Fonsi broke his promise. Recall that in September 2022, he canceled the two concerts that were scheduled in Venezuela as part of his “Una Noche Perfecta” tour.
According to the information shared by Advanta Producciones, the concert had been rescheduled due to logistical issues, but Fonsi did not confirm this information.
Finally, on October 26, he announced his arrival in Venezuela, after 12 years without performing in the country, expressing his excitement and gratitude.
Fonsi had canceled concerts in Venezuela at the end of the previous year, following comments by Cabello on the same program. Cabello questioned Fonsi’s description of President Nicolás Maduro as a “dictator” and labeled him “immoral.”
“I won’t attend those concerts, but we’ll have patriotic supporters in the VIP area because if this guy spoke ill of Venezuela and called for an invasion of Venezuela, not a single government official should be there,” continued the Chavista leader.
