“And if that place in 2024 is not here, we have to look for other alternatives. But right now, my main goal is to be here, win more races, and continue winning championships with Red Bull,” he added.

Nevertheless, the Mexican driver made it clear that he will seek to have discussions with Red Bull during 2024 to understand the plans of the Milton Keynes-based team.

“I have a contract until next year, so at some point next year, we will sit down to talk.“

Of course, beyond what Checo Pérez wants, it will largely depend on what Red Bull wants and whether they want to have the Mexican driver for a fifth season.

In recent hours, Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s sports advisor, mentioned Pérez in an interview with Servus TV, stating that “he is not consistent and not always focused.”
