It was the afternoon of September 27th when Sasha provided an update on the progress of the case, highlighting the advances achieved in her complaint up to this moment.
“Today concludes the second stage of the legal process that I initiated to seek justice for the sexual abuse I experienced when I was a minor. Luis de Llano appealed the sentence issued against him on May 10th. The Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City, which reviewed the appeal, not only confirms the previously issued sentence but also expands the effects of his conviction,” she said through social media.
In another part of her statement, the actress also referred to the legal reform that has allowed her complaint against Luis de Llano to be addressed despite the passage of time, aiming to set a precedent for those who have gone through a similar situation.
“The responsible action of the judicial authorities adds to the reform made to the Federal Penal Code – unanimously approved by the legislative power on September 11th – establishing that sexual crimes against minors at the national level no longer have a statute of limitations and can therefore be sanctioned regardless of the time elapsed,” Sasha emphasized.
Sokol made the decision to speak up after the interview that Yordi Rosado conducted with De Llano in March 2022 for his YouTube channel.
In the conversation, the creator of the musical concept Timbiriche discussed details of his romantic relationship with the performer.
Finally, Sasha referred to the actions taken by the authorities in addressing these types of cases, highlighting the importance of filing a complaint.
“Pedophiles may continue to use legal resources to delay the fulfillment of their sentence, but as long as the authorities continue to close their loopholes and the victims continue to raise their voices, there will be fewer cases of abuse and more convicted abusers,” Sokol concluded.
