The preliminary impeachment investigation against Joe Biden

On September 28, the first public preliminary hearing for the impeachment investigation against Joe Biden is taking place.

Republicans in the House of Representatives are holding the hearing where they will present all the evidence discovered to date as part of their investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings while examining the “worthiness” of the investigation.

The preliminary hearing will lay the groundwork for a possible impeachment trial against Joe Biden.

The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, will “examine the worthiness of an impeachment investigation and present evidence that House Republicans have discovered to date regarding President Joe Biden’s knowledge and role in his family’s national and international business practices,” according to the panel.

Bruce Dubinsky, a forensic accountant with decades of experience in investigations and financial consulting, will testify, along with former Deputy Attorney General Eileen O’Connor, who served in the Tax Division of the Department of Justice.

Also testifying will be law professor and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley, who testified in the impeachment trials of Clinton and Trump.

Republicans believe there is ample evidence for a possible impeachment trial against Joe Biden, the current President of the United States.

“The House Oversight and Accountability Committee has uncovered a mountain of evidence revealing how Joe Biden abused his public office for the economic benefit of his family,” Comer is expected to say in his opening statement.

“For years, President Biden has lied to the American people about his knowledge and involvement in his family’s corrupt business schemes.”

They estimate that the evidence shows that then-Vice President Joe Biden spoke, dined, and developed relationships with his family’s foreign business targets.

The case of a Chinese citizen who transferred a quarter of a million dollars to Joe Biden’s son’s account comes to light.

Comer was referring to cited financial records of Hunter Biden, which revealed that he received two wires originating from Beijing and linked to BHR Partners in 2019.

In this regard, Fox News Digital first reported that Hunter Biden received bank transfers, originating from Beijing, totaling over $250,000 from Chinese business partners.

This would have been during the summer of 2019, transfers that included Joe Biden’s house in Delaware as the beneficiary’s address.

“What were the Bidens selling to make all this money? Joe Biden himself,” Comer said.

The House of Representatives formally launched the impeachment investigation against Joe Biden this month, something Comer said Congress had a duty to do while emphasizing that Americans “demand and deserve answers, transparency, and accountability” for Biden’s alleged corruption and “abuse of public office.”

Regarding the impeachment trial against Joe Biden, he faces allegations of being involved in foreign business deals established by his son, Hunter Biden.

However, White House officials have criticized House Republicans for the impeachment investigation, calling it a “evidence-free” and “political stunt”.
