Prior to the start, Yuki Tsunoda had bad luck as his car failed to respond during the reconnaissance lap, causing a delay in the Monza Grand Prix start.

Verstappen’s goal was to secure his tenth consecutive victory and set a record in his career.
Charles Leclerc was in third place, with George Russell in fourth, but Checo Pérez was very close behind.
The first few laps saw cautious driving from most of the drivers.
Fernando Alonso, on the other hand, moved into the top 10 positions early in the race.
However, on lap 15, a long lock-up by Sainz allowed Verstappen to close in, and in a matter of seconds, he made a great move to take the lead.
Meanwhile, on lap 16, Checo Pérez was aggressive in a corner to leave no room for Russell.
Now, the Mexican driver’s goal was to catch up with the two Ferraris.
The Monza Grand Prix saw changes, with Verstappen in the lead and Checo Pérez in fourth.
Further down the field, Fernando Alonso and Hamilton were making their way up, as they were in eighth and ninth positions, aiming for a spot in the top 5.
The first pit stops began, and Checo Pérez tried to take advantage of his position to pit early.
After a long resistance, Lewis Hamilton, who was on hard tires, also entered the pits, losing positions but now on medium tires.
The positions shuffled with Verstappen, Sainz, Leclerc, Checo Pérez, and Russell in the top 5, while Alex Albon was having a strong race, with Norris and Piastri close behind, followed by Hamilton and Alonso.
A little over halfway through the Monza Grand Prix, Checo Pérez had a battle with Leclerc.
In the first serious attempt, he couldn’t pass, and they made contact. However, the Mexican driver didn’t give up, and on lap 32, the situation changed.
Pérez overtook Leclerc on the main straight and took third place.
Now, it was a matter of resource management for the Mexican driver, waiting for the right moment to challenge Carlos Sainz, who was in second place at that point.
Verstappen was comfortably leading the race without any issues, closing in on another victory.
Despite the overtaking, Charles Leclerc didn’t give up and continued to chase the Mexican driver.
Checo Pérez’s battle was not easy, as he was sandwiched between the Ferraris. With 10 laps to go, he made a major effort, getting very close.
In another part of the race, Piastri was relegated after a move by Hamilton.
