Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump

Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump, has raised much “controversy”, and leaves between notes the liberties of the owner of Twitter for the Republican candidate.

The former president of the United States and candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, has returned on Tuesday to the social network X (formerly Twitter) with an interview with its owner, the tycoon Elon Musk.

Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump has allowed the Republican to spread disinformation about the legitimacy of the results of the 2020 presidential election that he lost to Joe Biden and to attack his rival, Kamala Harris.

Trump’s return to X comes almost a year after his return to the social network.

In January 2021, Twitter’s then-management team suspended the former president’s account from the social network because of the “risk of incitement to violence” following the assault on the Capitol, in which five people were killed.

Already under Musk’s ownership, X reinstated the Republican’s account in 2022, although it took a year to use it.

Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump was determined by failures in the platform: it has started 45 minutes late because of “a massive attack” of denial of service, known as DDOS.

Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump touched on topics such as the attack the Republican candidate suffered last July, when a young man shot him from a rooftop in Pennsylvania and about which Trump has said an illegal migration graphic that turned his head at the time saved his life.

Similarly, the former president has defended his relationship with leaders such as Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump was transformed into a digital rally to launch his usual reproaches to the Democratic camp and defend his own legacy.

It should be recalled that Trump returned to using the social network, less than three months before the presidential election on November 5, Trump posted again on the social network with several electoral messages.

On the other hand, Trump has defended his relationship with foreign leaders such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin, North Korea’s Kim Jong-un or China’s Xi Jinping, assuring that getting along with them “is good”.

In Elon Musk’s interview with Donald Trump, the Republican candidate also talked about outgoing President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out of the race for the White House and make way for Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I’m not a fan of Joe Biden, who is the worst president in history. But what they did to him was a coup. Harris is a radical from San Francisco, she’s further to the left than Bernie Sanders, she’s going to be worse,” Trump commented.
