As of April 1st, the application fee for U.S. citizenship 2024 will have a new price according to the U.S. government.
Last January 30, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, USCIS, informed that as of April the application fee for U.S. citizenship.
The application fee for U.S. citizenship naturalization increased for the first time since 2016.
Among the USCIS fees that had an adjustment were those for naturalization, i.e., those pertaining to obtaining U.S. citizenship.
According to the new USCIS fees, the cost of applying for U.S. citizenship will see an increase of up to 19% in certain cases.
According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), at the beginning of 2023, there were 9 million people who met the age and length of residence requirements in the United States to qualify for citizenship.

USCIS indicates that the application fee for U.S. citizenship will increase beginning Monday, April 1, 2024.

- New fee as of April: US$ 710
- 11% increase (or US$ 70 more)
N-400 Application for Naturalization (online filing) (with biometric services)
- Previous fee: US$ 725
- New fee: US$ 710
- Reduction of 2 % (or US$ 15 less)

- Previous fee: US$ 640
- New fee: US$ 760
- 19 % increase (or US$ 120 more)
N-400 Application for Naturalization (paper filing) (with biometric services)
- Previous fee: US$ 725
- New fee: US$ 760
- 5% increase (or US$ 35 more)
N-400 Application for Naturalization [applicants with household incomes between 150% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG)].
- Previous fee: US$ 320
- New fee: US$ 380
- 19 % increase (or US$ 60 more)
N-400 Application for Naturalization (applicants with household income between 150% and 400% of FPG) (with biometric services)
- Previous fee: US$ 405
- New fee: US$ 380
- 6 % reduction (or US$ 25 less)
