The postscript of the Mexican president was removed

The postscript of the Mexican president is now a closed chapter for the time being. After several days of disagreements, AMLO decided to remove the campaign message from his morning program.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador complied with the new regulations of the National Electoral Institute (INE).
Thus, after weeks of controversy, the postscript of the Mexican president against the “conservatives” was removed.
This postscript was a message where AMLO directly attacked his political opponents and had been airing at the beginning of the “La Mañanera” broadcast for a few weeks.
Regarding this, during the conference on Tuesday, October 10th, President López Obrador mentioned that this postscript no longer appeared at the beginning of his morning briefing because he had received notification from the INE about its removal.
“The postscript text has been removed. Did they show it today? No, it won’t be there anymore; they prohibited it. They notified us yesterday.
Since it has been there for some time, I think the message has already been internalized,” the president stated when talking about the message that had been present since August 25th.
The postscript of the Mexican president had faced criticism from various opposition groups, and the INE took note of the complaint and issued an order to the presidential production.
This message was first published during the morning briefing on August 25th, but the INE ordered its removal.
However, AMLO didn’t miss the opportunity to recall the contents of the message amid the discussion.
In the message, he urged “conservatives” to refrain from watching the morning briefing if they wanted “the return of privileges and immunities for a few.”
Additionally, the message highlighted issues such as “corruption, classism, racism, and discrimination” by conservatives.
Postscript of the Mexican president: canceled.
López Obrador considered that, although it’s not wrong to present this warning during his conference, this message will be removed.
Recall that on October 3rd, the INE ordered the removal of the postscript of the Mexican president.
The complaint arose after the opposition’s upcoming presidential candidate, Xóchitl Gálvez, filed a complaint against the president for the message in bold letters with “PD” (postscript) in the morning briefings.
The Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the institute stated that only the requested phrase should be presented, specifying what the actions of public officials should be to prevent violations of impartiality and fairness principles.
The Complaints and Denunciations Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) ordered President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to remove the “postscript” from his morning briefings, as it contains electoral elements that could influence the public for the June 2, 2024 elections.
“La Mañanera” is a morning program hosted by the President of Mexico, where he provides a comprehensive report on his administration every weekday.
