Arrival of the new libertarian twitterer in Argentina

There is a new libertarian twitterer in Argentina, who was appointed by President Javier Milei.

Now, the weight of the parallel communication forces of the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, continues to increase with the incorporation of the libertarian twitterer in Argentina, Juan Doe.

Manuel Adorni, current presidential spokesman, was joined this Tuesday by a new figure born from the spectrum of libertarian twitterers.

He is Juan Pablo Carreira, alias Juan Doe in X (@jdoedoe101101), who will be General Director of Digital Communication of the Presidency.

This was informed by the same appointed from his former Twitter account of 140.9 thousand followers, and he will take power away from the communicational group of Iñaki Gutierrez.

With a victory for the advisor Fernando Cerimedo, close to Juan Doe, the “Iñakis” confirm their distance from the central power of their area, which began approximately two months ago, when Iñaki himself republished a photo of himself with his partner María Eugenia Rolón from the official account of Casa Rosada, which earned him a strong “challenge”.

On the other hand, the new libertarian twitterer, Juan Doe, arrives to the position of Digital Communication being part of the group of self-perceived “trolls” who were (still are) key in the construction of Milei’s message.

Their success has been undeniable and for the moment they seem not to hit any walls, quite the contrary.

Arrival of the new libertarian twitterer in Argentina

Carreira arrives from a recent work experience “where he earned twice as much as an engineer”, according to the twitterer and Buenos Aires legislator Agustín Romo, but of which there is no precise information nor is he to be found in the lists of graduates of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), the institution he attended.

Romo himself, in defense of Carreira as well as a number of accounts such as the controversial @GordoDan, also close to the stream La Misa de Dan, argued that “the previous government left a Secretary of Communication with +600 employees.

A job that can be done with less than 10% of the employees”.

These data could also excuse the photograph published this same Tuesday by Adorni, where he is seen together with 21 advisors of the area.

The new libertarian twitterer in Argentina is the author of a successful product that he built hand in hand with Cerimedo himself: La Derecha Diario.

The news web portal pro La Libertad Avanza managed to establish itself in the market and is defined as the largest in Argentina without official advertising.

Precisely this last point is the one that triggers Juan Doe’s controversy.

¿Controversy?

In a portfolio of tweets deleted in the last hours, he can be read following the officialist line and questioning the state positions, assuring that he would never get one: “But what are you saying nabo. I don’t work in the State, I never worked in the State nor do I want to work in the State”, he replied in 2022 to the user @wpymes.

As unusual as it may seem, the sudden presentation of the new General Director of Digital Communication of the Presidency comes after the viralization of an accusation without much foundation presented by another account, @PonzistaAnti.

“AntiPonzista 2028” questioned Carreira’s “sudden” visits to Casa Rosada and raised the possibility that he has “stuck a little job” in the Government.

What can be clarified is the frequent references to twitterers who receive first hand information from the national government before the media and even high-ranking officials.

Journalists such as Manuel Jovellano communicated this during the same afternoon of the delayed first announcement of the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, when they observed several of the above mentioned digital figures entering Government House.

Although alleged figures of the salary that the new libertarian twitterer in Argentina will receive have been leaked, it is not strictly the issue.

Just as cutting legislators’ salaries would not represent noticeable changes in the national coffers, neither does the appearance of Juan Doe. It is more than a message.
