According to this conspiracy theory about Super Bowl LVIII, the goal is to sway the 2024 presidential elections in favor of President Joe Biden. Meanwhile, attacks against Taylor Swift have been escalating for weeks.

A story published on Monday by The New York Times, which suggested that Biden would seek Swift’s endorsement again this year, further fueled the fire.
“I wonder who will win the Super Bowl next month,” Vivek Ramaswamy posted on Monday. He also emphasized Biden’s status as a failed 2024 presidential candidate who has spread conspiracy theories about the January 6th insurrection and the legitimacy of the 2020 elections.
“And I wonder if there will be significant presidential support from a culturally artificially propped-up couple this fall. Just speculating here, let’s see how it ages over the next 8 months.”
Ramaswamy was responding to a post by Jack Posobiec, the far-right conspiracy theorist, who shared a version of the theory during an interview with Roseanne Barr, the famous actress who has descended into the online far-right fever swamp in recent years.
Posobiec claimed that he believes the Democratic Party and other powers are “orchestrating an operation to use Taylor Swift in the elections against” Donald Trump.
Barr agreed, stating that Swift is “definitely someone who has consented to speak in the way the establishment wants her to be spoken about” and that using her influence will be how they “try to win the next election.”
Among so many conspiracy theories about Super Bowl LVIII, this one suggests that Swift is being quietly manipulated by sinister forces in a grand conspiracy orchestrated by the establishment.
“Taylor Swift is an operative,” wrote Benny Johnson, a right-wing media personality with millions of followers across different social media platforms. They are being deceived.”
Indeed, the figures promoting this rhetoric wield significant influence within the Republican Party and have millions of followers who turn to them for news and information.
