Another PAN member joins Claudia Sheinbaum’s cause, sparking a wave of criticism from those who were once part of the national party.
The new PAN member aligning with Claudia Sheinbaum is Rommel Pacheco, the Mexican diver who was elected as a federal deputy in the Chamber of Deputies with the support of the PAN.
On his personal X account, the Mexican athlete expressed his gratitude to Sheinbaum Pardo, who is the announced presidential candidate of Morena, for including him in her project.
In response, Sheinbaum shared Pacheco’s post and stated that it is a privilege to have him on board.

On September 23rd, Sheinbaum met with PRI and PAN members in Culiacán, Sinaloa, welcoming 54 prominent former PRI members, businessmen, and world boxing champion Julio César Chávez to join Morena.
Despite resistance from Morena members, Sheinbaum called for unity, affirming that Morena has open doors for those who choose to join the transformation.
