Thus, the Spanish city hosted the presentation of the Grammy’s Musical Excellence Award, a precursor event to the 24th edition gala, which for the first time will take place outside the United States on November 16.
The award bestowed upon the artist is given to performers who, throughout their careers, have made creatively outstanding contributions to Latin music and its communities.
On such a special occasion, the performer was accompanied by his son José Manuel, who just turned 22 and made his debut on the red carpet alongside his famous father, Manuel Mijares, showing his complete support and admiration.
“I dedicate it to the audience that has always supported and kept us in a place, to my children, to Lucerito, who couldn’t come, she really wanted to come, but you know she’s in the play El Mago. To José who came, and today is his birthday, so as a gift, he gets the Grammy.
And especially, in my speech, I remembered all the people of Acapulco who have always filled us with many incredible moments since I was born,” said Manuel Mijares.
