It could be said that the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful has included dozens, even hundreds of actors, not to mention the technical crew that has remained over the past decades.
The Bold and the Beautiful premiered on March 23, 1987, with John McCook (Eric Forrester) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) as the two longest-serving cast members, each of whom has appeared since the very first episode.

About the Story Brought to Life by the Cast of The Bold and the Beautiful
The cast of The Bold and the Beautiful is intertwined in a high-glamour soap opera about the elegant and fertile Forrester clan of Los Angeles.
Initially designed as a sister soap to the popular The Young and the Restless, it quickly gained viewers and followers worldwide with crossover cast appearances, exotic remote episodes, and fast-paced stories about beautiful people behaving badly.
In 2004, the show introduced a new family, the Marones.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs in half-hour episodes on CBS. The show premiered on March 23, 1987, making it the most recent American daytime soap opera on television.
It is also the last half-hour soap opera remaining on broadcast daytime television, largely because its time slot on CBS was shortened to allow stations to air their local noon news broadcasts.
The History of The Bold and the Beautiful
Set in Los Angeles, California, The Bold and the Beautiful focuses on the fashion industry and the struggles to survive in such a competitive environment.
As of 2024, it has run for 36 seasons and 9,145 episodes.
At the heart of the series are two families: the influential and elitist Forrester family, led by Eric and Stephanie Forrester, founders of the fashion company Forrester Creations, and the Logan family, once upper-middle class, primarily led by the eldest daughter, Brooke Logan.
Both families are interconnected through marriage, love affairs, and bitter disputes.
The conflict is further complicated by the Marone family, led by Jackie, the Spectra family, led by Sally, and the Finnegan family, currently headed by John.

Changes in the Current Plot
Currently, Rebecca Budig returns to CBS daytime television for the first time since her days on Guiding Light (as Michelle Bauer) and now takes on the role of Taylor Hayes in The Bold and the Beautiful.
Taylor returns to the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in the story at the end of the episode on Tuesday, August 6, when she was “spying” on a romantic and festive moment between Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) while they were in Monte Carlo, relaunching Brooke’s Bedroom line for Forrester Creations.
For fans of the show, this was a shock.
Next, viewers saw Taylor call her daughter Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to let her know she was heading to her home in Los Angeles.
Budig, 51, replaces Krista Allen, 53, who most recently took on the role of Taylor before being dismissed from the series in October 2023.
Before that, Hunter Tylo became famous in the soap opera world with the role and played Taylor intermittently between 1990 and 2019. Former GH and Santa Barbara favorite Sherilyn Wolter also briefly took on the role in 1990.
The soap opera has explored various themes throughout its history, addressing social issues and topics with significant societal impact.
Duration of The Bold and the Beautiful
The Bold and the Beautiful currently has a three-year contract, lasting until 2025, with the third year set for renewal.
Negotiations for a new contract will take place next year.
Therefore, it has been confirmed that the show will air until 2025 under the current agreement.
The Bold and the Beautiful premiered on March 23, 1987, and airs Monday through Friday at 1:30 PM (Eastern Time) and 12:30 PM (Pacific Time) on CBS, following new episodes of The Young and the Restless.
The late William J. Bell and the late Lee Phillip Bell created this show, which has collectively won several Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series.
Essentially, The Bold and the Beautiful is still in the process of renewal as of 2022.
While there is no guarantee that it will receive an identical renewal to its sister show next year, CBS seems very committed to its daytime programming at this time.
